7-Up Biscuits

Whenever someone at the dinner table compliments the food, we quote “While You Were Sleeping” and say, “Mary mashed ‘em”. At our house, though, that has double meaning because I have an incredible cook/sister Mary who makes things like melt-in-your-mouth holiday bacon-wrapped club parmesan appetizers. On a Thursday. Just for fun. She passed on this recipe for 7-up biscuits and might I just say that they are fluffy, buttery, and soft yet so fast and easy!! I mean I’m willing to put in the time and the work for a great recipe but if I don’t have to, I’m cool with that. More time for movies . . . to quote on my food website. Haha!

¼ c butter

2 c Bisquick

½ c sour cream

½ c 7-up

Heat oven to 450°F. Place butter in 9” x 9” baking pan and place in oven until butter is melted. Meanwhile, mix Bisquick and sour cream in bowl until mixture is crumbly. Stir in 7-up. Makes a soft dough. Turn onto counter sprinkled with additional Bisquick and pat flat. Cut using round biscuit cutter and place in buttered pan. Flip once to coat tops with butter. Bake 8-12 minutes or until golden. Brush with additional butter.
