I’ve had this recipe since high school. Which was a while ago. A long while. If you saw my recipe card, you’d know what I’m talking about. I typed this recipe on a sheet of blue cardstock . . . on a manual typewriter . . . with a black ribbon . . . so the fact that this recipe is still around means it has stood the test of time. Right? A lot of time. But let’s not focus on that.
This dip is so creamy and adds just the right amount of flavor to fruit. I like to serve it with bananas, pineapple, grapes, and strawberries because you get such a good mix of color and flavors with those fruits, but really, any fruit is so good with it.
1 8-oz. pkg. cream cheese, softened
1 7-oz. jar marshmallow crème
1/2 t juice and rind from one small lemon
1/2 t juice and rind from one small orange
Combine softened cream cheese and marshmallow crème; mix until well blended. Add juice and grated rind from lemon and orange. Mix well. Chill. Serve with fresh fruit.
