Absolutely refreshing!!

5½ c water, divided

1¼ c sugar

¾ c lemon juice (4-5 lemons)

¾ c lime juice (7-8 limes)

lemon and lime slices for garnish, optional

In saucepan, heat 1½ c water and sugar until mixture boils and sugar is dissolved. Remove from heat and cool to room temperature. Meanwhile, juice lemons and limes. Combine cooled sugar water and lemon and lime juice. Chill in refrigerator for 1 hour or more. Add remaining water and serve over ice. Garnish with lemon and lime slices, if desired.

I’m sitting here on my bedroom floor right now (so the light from my computer won’t disturb my sleeping husband) stuffing my face with some food from Panda. It is salty and I am thirsty….soooo, this lemonade is calling to me. Serious calling. Can you here it? Anyway, it looks so delicious. And guess what–I just happen to have too many lemons in my fridge and I’m THINKING that in a few hours (got to go bed eventually) I am going to be making a batch of this lemonade. Lucky, lucky me.

Internet surfing on the sly, huh? Hey, whatever works! LOL! I love that you have lemons in your fridge already. Isn’t that a happy coincidence? I love when the planets align like that!! I also love that you’ll be having lemonade at, like, 3 in the morning. You’re a fellow night owl too?! Don’t you love the quiet down-time that nighttime provides?
