This idea comes to you courtesy of my friend, Kristy. And let me tell you, it’s brilliant! She’s brilliant! You see, the cookie dough not only calls for m&m’s … here’s the brilliant part … but you crush up extra m&m’s to add to the dough. You are guaranteed to get m&m’s in every bite! Oh, and an added bonus, the bowl of dough will remind you of Disneyland . . . an explosion of color. That’s happiness!
½ cup shortening
½ cup butter
¾ cup sugar
¾ cup brown sugar
2 eggs
1 t vanilla
3 c flour
1 t soda
1 t salt
1 ½ packages M&M’s
Cream shortening, butter, sugar, and brown sugar. Beat in egg and vanilla. Stir in dry ingredients just until combined. Crush ½ package M&M’s. Add crushed and whole M&M’s. Stir. Scoop dough onto cookie sheet, forming round balls. Bake at 350 for 9 minutes or until barely golden brown.

These look so yummy!! Don’t M&M’s make everything better? LOVE.
I just ate an M&M frozen cookie dough ball, and you’re right, it’s better with an M&M in every bite!
They are, right? I’m so glad we have things like M&Ms in every bite. That makes for a good day right there.
