Orange Vanilla Shake

When foods are in season, you just have to take advantage. In September I go crazy with peach recipes. And in June, strawberries! Oranges are the current favorite. I mean, fresh-squeezed orange juice?! Wow! But add it to vanilla ice cream and you’re taking it to the next level. Cold, fresh and creamy! On a side note . . . I would like to thank whoever declared chocolate to be in season year round. Bless you.

For each serving:

4 oranges, juiced

1 c vanilla ice cream

Blend until smooth. Serve immediately. (Can add more or less juice to adjust shake thickness.)

Hi Karen! … call me crazy for making this in the middle of winter, but I haven’t been able to resist either. Three days in a row!! :)

This sounds like a drinkable orange creamsicle. Such a great idea!

Yeah…that would’ve been a great recipe name. I had trouble knowing what to call this one. You’re a genius!! We already knew that, though. 😉

This is definitely the best drink I’ve ever had!
