When foods are in season, you just have to take advantage. In September I go crazy with peach recipes. And in June, strawberries! Oranges are the current favorite. I mean, fresh-squeezed orange juice?! Wow! But add it to vanilla ice cream and you’re taking it to the next level. Cold, fresh and creamy! On a side note . . . I would like to thank whoever declared chocolate to be in season year round. Bless you.
For each serving:
4 oranges, juiced
1 c vanilla ice cream
Blend until smooth. Serve immediately. (Can add more or less juice to adjust shake thickness.)
