My mom has an incredible talent for finding the latest fun food in grocery stores as well as fabulous recipes. She printed a family cookbook that was such a hit, several editions were printed. I’ve had strangers request a copy. Yeah, I come from a long line of food people. In fact, you should see us at get-togethers. We clean up one meal just in time to start the next one. It is all about the food. This is one of those fabulous recipes. Ooooooooh . . . it is buttery, sweet and good! I eat mine in a bowl with a spoon because I don’t do sticky and, more importantly, I can scrape any remaining glaze from the bottom of the bowl!
1 pkg. microwave popcorn
½ c butter
½ c sugar
¼ c corn syrup
Pop popcorn. Remove unpopped kernels. In small saucepan combine butter, sugar and corn syrup. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until mixture comes to a full boil. Remove from heat. Stir in vanilla. Pour over popcorn and stir to coat.
