Limeade

If you want to experience pure happiness, blow up your floatie, put on your shades, throw a backyard pool party, and serve limeade in the floatie drink holder. Make sure to use boatloads of crushed ice (in your drink, not your pool…hahaha!) and extra lime. There just isn’t a better time than that. There’s something so thirst-quenching about limeade. It’s sweet yet sour at the same time. (I can be that way sometimes . . . especially in the morning. Haha!) This recipe makes one quart, so for you serious party animals out there, you may want to quadruple the batch!! Here’s to summer . . . .

3/4 c sugar
3/4 c fresh lime juice
crushed ice
additional limes for slicing

Bring ¾ cup water and sugar to a boil to dissolve sugar. Cool. Add lime juice and 2 additional cups of water. Chill. Serve over crushed ice with additional sliced lime. Makes 1 quart.
