Ranch Dressing

Let’s be honest. Isn’t the dressing what makes the salad palatable? I mean, crisp lettuce and cold, sliced vegetables are so good, but I probably wouldn’t be near as excited to eat them if ranch dressing weren’t part of the deal. Here’s our favorite dressing recipe:

1 packet Hidden Valley ranch salad dressing mix

1 heaping cup mayonnaise

1 scant cup milk

Add milk and mayonnaise to a dressing container (or some kind of container meant for mixing gravy, dressing, or pudding that contains a “mixing” tool such as a blending wheel). Add dressing mix, remembering the blending wheel.

Seal lid tightly on container and shake until well-blended. Chill several hours or overnight to allow the dressing to thicken.
