Cheese & Bacon Tater Tots


I’m really just fine adding cheese and bacon to about anything and calling it a recipe. That’s the beautiful magical thing about cheese and bacon. This is a quick side dish that is so incredibly tasty. Kids love it!


2 16-oz. pkgs. frozen tater tots

2 c shredded cheddar cheese

10 pieces bacon, cooked and crumbled

1/4 c chives, optional

sour cream, ketchup or fry sauce for dipping


Cook tater tots according to package directions. (Usually arrange tater tots in a single layer on a cookie sheet and bake at 450 for 15-20 minutes, flipping halfway through bake time.) Remove from oven but leave oven on. Place baked tater tots in buttered 9 x 13 casserole dish. Sprinkle cheese and bacon on top. Return to oven for 5-10 minutes. Sprinkle chives, if desired, on top. Serve with sour cream, ketchup, or fry sauce.
